My Story
I create safe spaces for
courageous stories
I am an author, mental health advocate, transformational speaker, moderator, creative and community builder whose work was born from places I once thought would break me. My story includes sexual abuse, domestic violence, bullying, suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression and seasons of deep emotional pain. There were moments when silence felt safer than truth, when survival felt like the only goal, and when I questioned whether the weight of what I had endured would ever loosen its grip. But somewhere along the way, I made a decision: my pain would not have the final word. I began to reframe the very experiences that wounded me, not by pretending they did not hurt, but by refusing to let them define the rest of my life. What once carried shame became strength. What once made me feel isolated became the bridge I now use to connect with others. What once felt like the end became the beginning of my purpose.
Storytelling, for me, is not performance. It is liberation. It is the moment someone hears a truth they have been too afraid to say out loud and realizes they are not alone. Through books, speaking, advocacy, poetry, workshops and courageous conversations, I create spaces where people are invited to take off the mask, confront the stories they have carried in silence and rediscover the value they may have forgotten they possessed. I teach people how to look at painful experiences through a different lens, not minimizing the trauma, excusing the harm or romanticizing survival, but asking a more powerful question: What can I create from what I survived? Because I believe pain can become purpose, wounds can produce wisdom, survival can become service, and the very chapter you once wanted to erase may become the chapter that gives someone else permission to keep going.
I do not speak at people. I create spaces where people can see themselves. I want the survivor in the room to recognize that survival is not the end of the story. I want the person who has spent years believing they are damaged to remember their worth. I want the leader carrying invisible pain to understand that vulnerability does not cancel strength. Whether I am delivering a keynote, moderating a panel, facilitating a workshop or leading an intimate conversation, I bring truth, vulnerability, energy and an invitation to transform. My audiences are not simply asked to listen to my story, they are challenged to reconsider their own. I help people take the experiences that tried to silence them and turn them into a voice, take the pain that tried to bury them and turn it into purpose, and walk away believing with everything in them that their hardest chapter does not have to become their final one.
